Inter Governmental Panel on Climate Change is forecasting increasing frequency of droughts and floods cautioning about the Water, Food, Health and Environmental Security. Availability of fresh water per capita is dwindling world over and threatening the availability of quality drinking water for the developing nations. Food prices have already shooted up for various reasons, the chief among them are near stagnation of productivity of irrigated soils and diversion of agricultural lands to other uses.
