Taking leads from Ayurveda literature, the Council has formulated and developed Ayush QOL-2C for improvement of quality of life in Cancer patients through systematic quality control and standardization studies and experimental safety and toxicity studies, Further, a double blind, randomized, placebo controlled trial entitled " A Pilot Study Evaluating Quality of Life with Chemotherapy/Radiotherapy and correlating it with Molecular Marker" has been undertaken in collaboration with all India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi to evaluate & document the benefit and safety of combination of Ayurvedic coded drug and chemotherapy/ Radiotherapy in comparison to chemotherapy/ Radiotherapy alone in the treatment of patients with cancer receiving chemotherapy, i.e. preventing side effects of chemotherapy/Radiotherapy, Improving the clinical status and quality of life. The gross observations revealed that the drug is safe and well tolerated.
